Gender Reveal Party

We have decided to celebrate every moment with have with this little baby, and one of those ways was by throwing a Gender Reveal Party! We found out the gender at about 12.5 weeks when we had our integrated screening for birth defects. I wanted to throw the party that weekend, but Adam wasn't quite ready to tell Taylor, so we waited until after the next appointment at 16 weeks. Adam and I couldn't wait that long (he'll tell you it was just me), so we looked at the envelope after about a week. I was shocked that we were having a boy. I don't know why, I mean, there's a 50/50 chance, but still...I couldn't believe it.

I'm glad we looked beforehand because I probably would have been a mess of emotions. I've always wanted a little boy, and I'm thrilled we're having one, but redoing the room and taking out all of Leah's clothes will be especially hard. Then, the possibility of not bringing a baby boy home to a room prepared for him is unimaginable, although I've lived it once already.

Because we've lived through it once, we are celebrating every moment we have, even if all of them are while he's in my belly. Here are pics from our party!

After the big reveal we had some playtime!

The box was a big hit!
I'm so glad we had this party and so grateful for all the friends and family that showed up to celebrate with us. We wouldn't have made it through this last year without your prayers and support!
